If your answer is “just about anything legal and ethical,” then consider this: That’s how much an 83-pound white marlin won for a crew of anglers at last summer’s 40th Annual White Marlin Open in Ocean City, Maryland. I’m not good at calculating odds, but I would bet that’s a much easier — and more fun — way to become a millionaire than playing the lottery. Tournament fishing carries that windfall anticipation above and beyond the usual perks of fishing — camaraderie, strategy and adventure.
